Nahanni Butte Flood Relief Fund
On June 12, 2012 the community of Nahanni Butte was flooded by local rivers which resulted in the Nahanni residents having to be relocated approximately 140 km away in Fort Simpson. The community is a neighbour of the Prairie Creek mine operation and Canadian Zinc provided on-the-ground support with our Fort Simpson Office. In addition the company partnered with CIBC to create the Nahanni Butte Flood Relief Fund to provide the Nahanni community some financial support for their clean-up and repair needs.
