|COMPANY NAME CHANGE TO "CANADIAN ZINC CORPORATION"|
|Vancouver, British Columbia, May 27, 1999:
San Andreas Resources Corporation (the "Company") is pleased to report that at the Companys' annual general meeting on May 20, 1999 all resolutions were approved without amendment. The number of directors has been increased from five to six and Mr. John MacPherson has been elected to the board of directors and appointed to head up the Companys' investor relations activities. A special resolution was approved to change the name of the Company to Canadian Zinc Corporation. This change will become effective following regulatory processing and the Company will trade under the symbol "CZN" on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The Company believes that the name Canadian Zinc Corporation more accurately reflects its high grade zinc deposit at Prairie Creek.
The Prairie Creek property, wholly owned by the Company, is located in the Northwest Territories of Canada (61°33'N 124°48'W), 500 km west of Yellowknife NWT and 338 km north of Fort Nelson, British Columbia. The Company's land ownership extends to a length of 27 km., covering a land area of 7802 hectares. The geological resource in the Zone 3 deposit amounts to 11.8 million tonnes grading 12.5% zinc, 10.1% lead and 161 grams of silver per tonne, as independently assessed by MRDI Canada, a division of H.A. Simons Ltd. The deposit has a present strike length of 2.1 km and is open for further exploration. A Development Cooperation Agreement has been entered into with Nahanni Butte Dene Band.
An exploration program, details of which will be announced shortly, is currently being mobilized.
Clubb Capital Ltd. of London, England have prepared a recommendation on the Company and a copy of this is available by contacting the Vancouver office.
