Canadian Zinc Corporation owns 100% of the Project which comprises two surface leases covering 132 Ha, eight mining leases covering an area of 3540 Ha and ten additional mineral claims covering 5477 Ha as follow:

Property Claims

Canadian Zinc Corporation has a 100% interest in the plant and equipment located at the Project site.

  • Mill - The 1,000 tonne/day mill is 90% complete.
  • Road - A 170 km winter road connects the site to the Liard Highway. The road was last used in 1981/82 to equip the mill and mine site.
  • Airstrip - A 1,000 m gravel airstrip is located approximately 1 km to the north of the camp.
  • Tailings Disposal- A tailings impoundment area is immediately adjacent to and northwest of the camp.
  • Camp Accommodations - Trailer accommodations for 240 people are on site with kitchen facilities to meet a full camp complement of employees.
  • Maintenance Shops - Well equipped machine shop and heavy equipment shop.
  • Heavy Equipment fleet including Bulldozers, Loaders, Cranes, all terrain dump trucks, self loading scrapers, cement trucks, a portable crushing screening and concrete batching plant, an excavator, a Dragline and numerous other items of good quality construction equipment.
  • Office and Warehouse - Office and warehouse facilities include a dry, first aid, mine rescue and recreation facilities.
  • Laboratory - A pre-engineering laboratory building exists behind the mill. Power Supply - Four 1.1 megawatt Cooper Bessemer diesel powered generators and two smaller standby generators.
  • Fuel Supply and Storage - Bulk capacity steel diesel storage tanks containing around 400,000 gallons of diesel fuel and gasoline tanks with associated loading, unloading and pumping facilities. A number of large capacity propane tanks containing in excess of 100 tons of propane, support heating for the camp and the mine.

Three levels of underground workings are developed on the vein with the mill level being the lowest.
